Health Department
The Health Department of Christ Our Hope Seventh-day Adventist Church is committed to promoting wholistic health and wellness—caring for the body, mind, and spirit as temples of God. This ministry supports members and the wider community in living healthier, happier lives that honor God through the principles of the Adventist health message.
Core Responsibilities:
Health Education: Organizing seminars, workshops, and talks on nutrition, exercise, temperance, rest, and disease prevention.
Medical Screenings & Clinics: Partnering with health professionals to provide regular check-ups, screenings, and health fairs for members and the community.
Lifestyle Coaching: Encouraging healthy living practices such as balanced diets, exercise, and rest, based on the Adventist NEWSTART principles (Nutrition, Exercise, Water, Sunlight, Temperance, Air, Rest, Trust in God).
Community Health Outreach: Extending health services beyond the church through blood donations, wellness campaigns, and support for those in need.
Sabbath Health Emphasis: Integrating health awareness into worship programs to inspire members to live in harmony with God’s health principles.
The Health Department follows the biblical counsel of 3 John 2: “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” By nurturing both physical and spiritual well-being, the department helps members live vibrant, Christ-centered lives.
